Jeju Olle, day 7
Jeju Olle, Day 7
While I woke up slightly before the alarm clock rang, somehow it still dragged into the late morning. So I am only leaving the accommodation around 8:30
Today’s trail starts in the mountains, where I stayed for the night, and then goes straight for the shore, following the coast afterwards. Well, that’s the first section. The second section has two options: A and B, with A going through the mountains and B going along the coast. I’ve picked the coast option to make things a bit easier for myself, since I do feel the toll of the week of daily hiking.
The coastline is stunning. With white sandy beaches between the rugged black volcanic rocks. The color of the water is mindblowing and there are surprisingly many people in the water despite the chilly and windy weather. Though they are with surfboards, so it makes sense.
And just around the end of the trail I’ve accidentally stumbled upon a cute little café with an unexpectedly Ukrainian name. So I couldn’t pass by. It is owned by a nice Korean lady who was so fascinated by Ukrainian cuisine that she serves some of the Ukrainian dishes in her café. Very inspiring story for me, so we ended up chatting for more than an hour there, luckily there were no other customers at the time.
