TSH, day 47
6:30 am — TSH, day 47
Around midnight the lightnings started to flash too often for me to sleep peacefully and I moved to a lower level of the structure.
In the morning I woke up with the sun, wore my still-completely-wet clothes, packed and started to walk a few minutes past 6am. There was no rain in the night and the morning was cloudy yet dry.
12:30 pm — Mino-O park
It was one of the hardest days of the trail. In fact it wasn’t hard at all yet it was the last day of the trail, I was lacking water and skipped my breakfast because of that. Thus it felt really hard.
Several hours after I started to walk I passed by a spring and filled one of my bottles with water. Later, upon getting to the final destination, I took a small detour by another trail to get to a picnic area and have my breakfast after all. Osaka prefecture has TSH marked quite poorly and at the same time there are quite a lot of other nature trails that are marked way better. So one has to pay attention to the labels on the signs to stay on the right trail.
A few more hours and I reached Mino-O park with its beautiful waterfall and nice alleys. The official trail ended and I’ll turn my gps off around Mino-O station.
7:30 pm — Wrapping the day
My host today had to cancel my reservation and thus I needed to look for another place to stay. I booked a place in a capsule hotel near Osaka station and am moving there for a night. Might be interesting.
I am quite tired after through-hiking the trail like that. And I can already see that my mind was shifted by it.
Tomorrow I’ll try to sum up a technical review of the trail and update my plans for the rest of my stay. It is tiring to keep posting every day (even though I skipped a few days) and since I’m staying in cities for a while I may go silent for time being. Or post irregularly if I’ll feel like it.
