Jeju Olle, day 10
Jeju Olle, Day 10
I’ve started the day checking the area of historical government buildings (opens at 9am). The entry ticket of 1500 won is worth it if you haven’t been to places like that before. After exploring the site for about half an hour and taking a bunch of pictures, I went back to pick up my already packed backpack and start hiking.
The trail starts with a warming climb up the mountain with a nice viewpoint and sports equipment at the top. Quite a lot of people were going up/down, doing sports — seems to be a popular spot around here.
Half of the trail the sound of the airplanes was constantly in the air. Jeju airport sure is busy.
By the end of the trail section I realised that my accommodation was about 5km down the next section. And then it turned out that my point on the map was in the wrong place and the real location of the accommodation was a few kilometers further. So by the time I got there, it felt like I’d hiked a third of the next section.
Having a few hours of daylight left, I went to explore the surroundings. Beautiful beach, crowded even now. With a long, long stretch of sand and shallow water giving it gorgeous color.
