TSH, day 25
8:00 am — TSH, day 25
JR Nagoya Station (JR 名古屋駅)
The night was uneasy, with hot stuffed and very humid air, bats flying around the tent, some animals fighting in the bushes etc. So in the morning I was still tired and started to pack around sunrise. The first hiker appeared around 5am while I was eating my breakfast and a bit later an English-speaking hiker came to have a rest at the resting place and I’ve delayed my start to have a chat with him. At the time I was leaving the spot the benches were half-full and some lady gave me a box of chocolate to eat on the way.
From the top of the ridge a beautiful view to Toyota, Seto, Nagoya had opened and near the temple at the base of the mountain I met another English-speaking local hiker and we spent some time chatting about trails and mountains.
10:00 am — Scenery
On the way down from Sanageyama I’ve found this beautiful hand-drawn picture of the scenery.
1:00 pm — Camping spot
Not far from the temple at the base of Sanageyama I’ve passed this nice camping spot. It might have been nice to stay here yet it was impossible for me to get here yesterday even if I knew about it anyway.
2:30 pm — Scenery
More views from the different points of the trail.
5:00 pm — Shrines and temples
On the trail I’ve passed several shrines and temples.
6:30 pm — Wrapping the day
The sky was cloudy and rain started dripping from time to time so I decided to skip the planned point and finish hiking today at Jokoji station by moving to Nagoya by train. I’ve booked a cheap hotel near the station and am spending the night there.
